Mark of the Beast
How do we remove it?

Can a person remove the mark of the beast? Jesus says that he wants all people to come to him. Our Lord even wants people with the mark of the beast to repent and turn towards God. Because nothing is to hard for God, he can remove the mark of the beast when a person says yes to Jesus!

9A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: “If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives his mark on the forehead or on the hand, 10he, too, will drink of the wine of God’s fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. He will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. 11And the smoke of their torment rises for ever and ever. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and his image, or for anyone who receives the mark of his name” (Rev. 14:9–11, NIV).

Do Not Worship the Beast

The third angel follows with a warning to God’s children. Do not go the way of the world. Worship of the beast causes a person to … drink of the wine of God’s fury. These sound like hard words from our Father, the God of Love.

Jesus writes chapter 14 to Christians to give us hope and joy, and to show us where we shall go. He writes to tell us that judgment will come to our persecutors. Jesus also writes to each of us with a warning. Do not play with the grace and mercy of God! The Lord speaks of deadly consequences to people who disobey him.

The three angels of God begin with the grace of salvation. They then encourage all people to praise and worship our Lord God Almighty. They warn of the coming judgment, and the certainty of Babylon’s destruction. The last angel warns of God’s fury and wrath if we accept the mark of the beast.

Mark of the Beast—Remove it

Can a person get rid of the mark of the beast? Christians have debated this question throughout the ages. Some would say no because once the Devil stamps on his mark, the person’s lost forever. What does God’s Word say?

The mark symbolized the rejection of God and his principals. The apostle Paul gave us a good example of someone with the mark of the beast. When Paul persecuted the Christians, they thought he represented evil. Our merciful God forgave Paul for killing his children, and then the Father removed the mark out of love (Acts 9).

Repent—Turn to God

People who belong to the Devil can repent, turn to God, and change. God then removes the mark of the beast and seals them with his grace of salvation. The symbolism of the mark of the beast reveals where a person’s heart rests at the point of physical death on earth. If the person serves the Devil, he has eternal punishment. If the person serves God, he has eternal salvation.

No one can serve two masters. You either serve God, or you serve the world (Luke 16:13). Jesus told this parable. If your hand causes sin, then cut it off (Mark 9:43). If the mark of the beast on your hand stops you from serving Jesus, then cut it off. In other words, cling to Jesus and get rid of all worldly things that interfere with the relationship. Jesus wants each of us to lean on him for all.

The Devil can lead people away from God, but the Almighty has awesome power to draw a sinner back through prayer. Our prayers give God the key to removing the mark of the beast from the lost who live around us.

Mark of the beast cross, which Jesus carried for all people

Our Savior carried the cross for each our our sins including the sin of accepting the mark of the beast. If we believe the Bible, then we need to accept the fact that Jesus died for each of us. (John 11:25) He also died for the ones, who live in the world, with the mark of the beast.

Our God of grace loves the sinners who carry the mark of the beast. He wants them to repent and turn from the world, or the mark of the beast (1 Tim. 2:3-6). Then our God will forgive their sins and give them eternal life in Heaven

A man or woman has a good opportunity to throw off the marks of the dragon if someone prays for them. It may take years of prayer before the Lord draws the person. They will then ask Jesus to give them eternal life and to write the Father’s name on their forehead. All Heaven will rejoice and praise the Lord because another sinner saw the Light. The Devil lost again. Glory and praise to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. Amen!
